  • Secondary Weapon: Submachine Gun (hardly ever uses this, usually goes either total long range with the Sniper Rifle or total hand to hand with the Kukri)
  • Mêlée Weapon: Kukri (sometimes Bushwacka or Shahansha, but has a certain affection for the Kukri, so mostly sticks with that)
  • Strengths: Great shot with or without scope, well rounded when it comes to handling guns and other miscellaneous long range weapons
  • Weaknesses: Horrible at hand-to-hand, can be easily killed by a Spy since he doesn't watch his back well, amazingly bad sense of direction, can be snappish to people he doesn't know, his fear of electricity causes him to distrust Engineers and Medics

  • Dislikes: Electricity (has an extremely strong fear of it), thunderstorms, pickles, mayonnaise, flies buzzing around his face when he's trying to concentrate, getting shanked as he's about to shoot someone, otters (they freak him out for some reason he can't quite comprehend)

  Leon lived in "boring" old D.C. He didn't do anything too spectacular; he still wonders at how they managed to find him, considering he wasn't a miraculously conspicuous person. But apparently he was more interesting than he gave himself credit for.
  
  He enjoyed shooting things. He never shot people, don't worry- but he'd go out to the gun range and just shoot for hours. It felt good, took some of the tension out of his life. His dad always said he should go into the military, he was so good at shooting, but Leon didn't want that. His dad was a military guy, and Leon didn't exactly want to turn out like him. Always demanding, never satisfied. It wasn't a good feeling to recieve and he promised himself he'd never be the one to give it.
  
  Anyways, shooting. He was a good shot, good enough apparently to catch the Administrator's eye. Miss Pauling had soon hunted him down and rescued him from his dull work as a sales representative (that job never would've worked, those who know Leon know that he's not the talkative type) and given him a new one as a RED Sniper.
  
  It payed better, and it was much more exciting. If only his dad would approve; mercenary work wasn't exactly military grade, after all.
  
  The only thing that hadn't changed from D.C. was the lack of human interaction. True, he did have teammates, but he didn't really talk to them. They never really initiated conversations with him either, so that didn't help matters. Leon had always been a somewhat antisocial person, learning from his family (okay, just his father) not to speak unless spoken to first and to keep things short and sweet and to the point. Because of this, conciseness was something Leon was very good at. He was also very good at staying absolutely silent, and this was a little fun because he was able to startle both his teammates and his enemies by sneaking up on them without a sound. It took some getting used to, being around such loud people as Scouts and Demomen, and they sort of brought him out of his shell. But none of them actually got close enough to actually be considered a friend (something foreign and frowned upon in Leon's book) as he normally scared them away by the second day or so.
  
  But then there's the one odd one who stuck around longer than that. Those were the ones that actually got Leon to smile (another serious no-no) and joke around and actually be himself without being drunk.
  
  One of these rare few was one he actually married. He met her outside work, and her name was Cecelia Roe. After a couple of years of steady dating they finally pulled the trigger and got married; it was a short lived thing, however. He barely had time to enjoy it before she was taken away from him as suddenly as she had appeared.
  
  Cecelia was killed in a fatal car crash on June 29th, 1963. He still misses her and doesn't talk about anything related to love anymore. He's hesitant to grow attached to anyone for fear he'll be hurt again, hurt as badly as he was when he found out Cecelia was dead. It changed him; not much, but enough.
  
  It was a lot to get used to in such a short period of time.
  
  Leon almost became a Scout or a Spy, unbeknownst to most of his teammates. He's decently fast, although he couldn't figure out how to swing a bat right and didn't have the temperament that was so useful for Scouts. He was much too patient for that, and Scouts were the front runners of the team, jumping into the thick of things without thinking about it beforehand. Leon would've dawdled a little too much before actually doing something productive as a Scout, so that was out. His next closest job was a Spy, since he's so quiet and has the patience of a Spy; the only problem is that he's horrible at hand-to-hand combat, and that's a Spy's bread and butter. He would've ended up dying more times than actually killing anyone as a Spy, so it was decided he should be a Sniper. He has the patience, the quietness, and the shooting skill to pull his job off quite nicely.
  
  He's become a bit more adventurous as of late, even going so far as to nick one of the RED Spy's cigarettes. His back is still sore from that mistake and he's toned down his adventurous attitude a little. It's not worth getting killed over, after all. He can do that on the battlefield anytime he wants, but it's a pain to get whacked by a teammate during off hours.
  
  He's learned his lesson.
  
  He doesn't particularly mind Spies despite the fact that they kill him whenever they can, realizing that they're just as or more intelligent than him, can best him in hand-to-hand combat, and are to be respected. He keeps a healthy distance from Spies in general, maybe with the exception of those on his own team, and leaves them alone so long as they leave him alone. However, he does have a rather noticeable distrust toward certain classes. He has a strong fear of electricity (lightning kind of electricity, not flip-a-switch kind of electricity) and therefore isn't fond of Engineers and Medics. Engineers, after all, mess around with electricity on a daily basis and Medics have guns that seem to use a lot of electricity, like the Medigun. Even if it isn't exactly electricity, it's close enough, and he does his absolute best to keep his distance from those two classes. If they start coming after him or start pestering him, he gets violent, so the ones on his team have learned to stay away and if they want to talk, to not do anything electricity related or he'll freak out.
  
  Respect is a huge deal for Leon, and he absolutely hates it when enemies start making fun of his fallen teammates. He's supposed to be the sort of guardian in the tower, after all, watching over everyone and killing those who threaten his team. He gets real bent out shape if they start poking fun at him or other REDs, going so far as to specifically hunt that BLU down and assassinate them. It's a rather personal issue so unless you want to invoke Leon's wrath, don't say anything at all.
